Shabbat HaGadol

Mar23

This Shabbat goes by a special name, Shabbat Hagadol, and precedes the Festial of Passover. It reminds us to go through our checklist to make sure our preparations are complete. Here is some useful information and links to help you out. Many helpful links can be found at www.htaa.org/passover .

Sell Your Chametz
As it is forbidden for a Jew to own chametz on Passover, I am happy to serve as your agent to sell it to a non-Jew on Passover eve. Click here for more info.

Maot Chittim
The mitzvah of tzedakah is traditionally done ahead of the holiday, thereby providing others the means to make a seder. Consider sponsoring a person ($60) or people to attend our seder, or making a general donation in any amount by clicking here. Please specify Maot Chittim Fund in the notes to ensure the funds will be used to fulfill the mitzvah of charitable giving in connection with Passover.

Matzah & Grape Juice
Many stores give away a free box of matzah when you spend $50. If you end up with more matzah than you know what to do with - we'll take it! Also, while shopping at Giant or Shoppers, consider donating a bottle (or two!) of grape joice for our Passover seder. Every drop helps!

Give Us a Hand
Donate your time and help to set the tables for our community seder on Thursday or Friday, March 29 or 30. Please let Adrienne know if you can volunteer for an hour or two. She will appreciate it!

Passover Seder
We still have space around the HTAA seder table. Please click here to sign up! Four drink minimum.

Passover Schedule
Service & Yizkor schedules and other z'manim.

Communal Chametz Burning

Shabbat Shalom!
