Men's Club Mission
The Men’s Club Mission is to support the Synagogue while providing a series of enjoyable and educational events that help bring its membership closer to the Synagogue. In doing so, the Men’s Club provides volunteers to help at Barbeques, raise and pack the Sukkott, cleanup functions and attend minions. Most of our functions welcome all HTAA members and often non-members as well. We emphasize our support for Israel and aspects of the American Jewish Experience. We cooperate with the Sisterhood on functions of joint interest and provide some volunteer support for some of their activities. We are also a source of financial and volunteer support for Synagogue directed activities. We have sponsored attendance at local professional sports and sponsor local participation sport activities like Co-ed Softball, fishing and the Yontiff Ball (informal football) prior to the Sligo Creek sin casting walk on Rosh Hashanah. Our activities are often combined with interesting food. At the Synagogue, we are strictly Kosher and try to have Jewish style or Israeli related foods. We are always open new ways to provide new types of activities to entertain, educate, or support our Synagogue or righteous causes.
