I Often Wonder...

I often wonder what makes people want to be a part of HTAA. How do unfamiliar people feel when they walk through our doors? Often they find friends, community, edcuational and religious opportunities for themselves and their children. But what is so unique about our synagogue is how close and family-like we behave in our interactions and cooperation and how diverse, interesting, and amazing are our individual members.

I want to share good news from two of our wonerful families:

This Shabbat, I invite you to celebrate with our friends, Louis Numkin and Suzie Price, on the occasion of their aufruf! Louis organizes our monthly blood drives and is a tireless volunteer and supporter of our community and far beyond. Together, they are heavily involved with Hadassah, countless other worthy charities, and are sponsors of our annual Communtiy Passover Seder. I hope you will join us tomorrow in celebrating this wonderful shidduch!

You probably know another wonderful couple in our congregation, Frank and Laurie Solomon, but you may not know their son, Aaron, who is studying in London at Imperial College. There, he is a top scholar in the Marshall Program. Recently, the College produced a video featuring Aaron Solomon and his exciting research. Mazal tov!

I am so proud to be a part of our diverse and dedicated congregation that is comprised of wonderful members who serve our community, Israel, the Jewish People and all of humanity.

Shabbat Shalom,
Rabbi Suson
