Shavuot

Tomorrow, at the close of Shabbat, begins the two-day festival of Shavuot. Shavuot celebrates the gift of the Torah in the world and in our lives. Some even have the custom to stay up all night studying to commemorate this glorious event.

AT HTAA, are holding a special study session to conclude Shabbat and begin the holiday (complete with cheese cake, of course).
The study session, sponsored by Lew Strudler and family, will honor the memories of two very ladies.

Melanie Strudler z”l was a loving mother and devoted wife. She was dedicated to our synagogue and other charities and poured her love into all she did as a teacher and community volunteer. Words of kindness and encouragement were always on her lips and she is sorely missed by our community and beyond.

Rachel Adisy Suson z”l, our Rabbanit and my beautiful wife, was compassionate, tenacious, and intelligent. She was a loving soul who had boundless determination and strength. Living only to age 36, she managed to build a family, succeed in her studies, begin a career as a psychologist and earn the respect and confidence of all who were blessed to know her.

Please join us on Saturday night at 7:45 p.m. for Shabbat Mincha, Cheesecake, and our Tikkun Leil Shavuot program.

Wishing you and your family a Shabbat Shalom and Chag Sameach!
Rabbi Suson
