AIPAC 2020

Dec13

I want to share a few things with you, as Shabbat approaches. First, I hope you will come to shul tomorrow to hear inspiring words of Torah from our own member, Ethan Halpern. The service will be entirely lay led, with two of our teens, Niv Leibowitz and Eric Curreri, officiating.

Second, I hope you enjoyed last week's presentation by Jason Pressman from AIPAC. Several congregants have inquired about discounted tickets to the AIPAC Policy Conference in March. Jason has supplied us with a discount code that will take $200 off the price of the conference. The code is only good for ten days, so please consider joining me for my 13th AIPAC Policy Conference! Please contact me if you are interested in joining me and I'll make sure you get the discount.

Finally, we are all shocked and shaken by the events in Jersey City this week. Our thoughts this Shabbat are with the families of those who were killed and injured, as well as the entire Jewish, law enforcement, and New Jersey communities. This Shabbat, as we pray for healing and comfort, may our resolve be strengthened to eradicate antisemitism and all hate. Please read these moving thoughts from Rabbi David-Seth Kirshner and Adam Schwartzbard, colleagues and friends from my previous life in NJ.

Wishing you and your family a peaceful and restful Shabbat!

Shabbat Shalom,
Rabbi Steven Suson
