All About Jewish Basebal Night
Thursday, February 8, 2024 • 29 Shevat 5784
7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
The night is sponsored by Judy Blumenthal, in honor of her cousin, Rabbi and Chazan Mike Jay Bloom (z"l) -Micha'el Ya'akov ben Chava Devorah.
There have been some 18,000 players in the history of Major League Baseball. Approximately 1% of players have been Jewish. Of the 1%, some 10% have played for the Washington Senators or Washington Nationals. None were Hall of Famers, but many had interesting stories, including the “Clown Prince of Baseball” and a World War II U.S. spy.
Discover these stories and many more with Washington’s own Phil Hochberg.
