Iris Lav, is a Traditional Jew who spent two years living in Bangkok in the 1970s with her family when her husband was posted to Thailand. She worked in state and local fiscal policies until her recent retirement. She will talk about her life as a Jew in the mostly Buddhist Thailand, the expat and especially the Jewish community and the local synagogue, where she became a volunteer Hebrew school teacher and was active in all facets of local Jewish life. She will also provide an update on how local Jewish life has evolved and how they cope with COVID-19.

She recently published a book "A Wife in Bangkok."
