Rabbi Steven Suson

With all the partisan political maneuvering going on both in the U.S. and Israel right now, one thing remains clear: our country and the Jewish State are proudly bound together in so many ways—through shared military, security, economic, and technological cooperation that is crucial to both nations’ safety, well-being and prosperity. The funds that our country provides every year to Israel makes possible, among so many other things, the Iron Dome, which, as we have recently witnessed, saves so many Israel and Palestinian lives. AIPAC is an organization that strengthens these bonds by lobbying Congress in a bipartisan manner on behalf of Israel.

I would therefore like to invite you to register for AIPAC’s upcoming Policy Conference, which runs from Sunday, March 1 to Tuesday, March 3 in D.C. Join me as we gather with 18,000 activists in our nation's capital, hear from thought leaders and elected officials, discover groundbreaking Israeli innovations; enjoy fascinating breakout sessions, and lobby Senators and Members of Congress on behalf of Israel.

I’m pleased to announce that AIPAC has offered us a $200 discount in the form of a discount code. The code will be active for one week (January 10-17). Please let me know if you want to take advantage of this discount and I will email you the discount code on January 10.

If you have questions about the conference, accommodations, and so on, visit
http://www.policyconference.org/ or contact Ted Merwin, Synagogue Initiative Director for AIPAC’s Mid-Atlantic Region; his email is emerwin@aipac.org. Also, if you’ve signed up or are considering it, please kindly share the good news with me!

The timing is never perfect. We all know that it's difficult and expensive to take off from work and spend time away from home. But fighting for Israel is the great responsibility and privilege of our generation, and if not now, when?

Go for it. Sign up today. Let’s strengthen our shul's leadership role in pro-Israel activism, as we serve as a model for other communities. I look forward to going with you to Washington for this joyful and inspiring gathering.

Shabbat Shalom,

Rabbi Suson
