Having completed a two year course in the Ministry of Tourism, I am trying to merge  my Torah education background and the historical, geological and archeological sites in Israel to derive new insights into the Torah text as it may apply for us today.

Sunday, August 16:
First Temple period with selected sites: Saul, Solomon, Israel divided, , Eliyah, Hezekiah, Isaiah, Assyrians destruction, Jeremaih and ending with the destruction by the Babylons in 586 BCE.

Sunday August 23: 
Second Temple Period: Restoration, Ezra, Nechemya, Hellenism, Hasmoneans, Herod, Hasmoneans, Romans, Rebellion, and hurban of 70 CE.

Sunday August 30: 
Byzantines and Shristianiy, Arabs and Islam, Crusaders, Mamluks, ottomans and British.

Sunday September 6: 
Return, antisemitism, the Yishuv and first settlements, Herzl, building of a Jewish state, Esyablish8ing a Jewish homeland declared by Ben Gurion in 1948.

Sunday September 13 before Rosh Hashana:
Judaism and the Jewish people restored; resilience and rebirth; Tzefat, tiberius, Visiting sites of the great rabbis and teachers.
