About HTAA
Congregation Har Tzeon-Agudath Achim (HTAA), a conservative synagogue, celebrates over 55 years of service to the Montgomery County Jewish community and it continues to offer a rich and varied program of religious, educational, and social activities.
With a current membership of over 500 members, the Synagogue today reflects the collective efforts of dedicated leaders and members who have worked together for the past half-century to support and sustain synagogue services and programs.
As an affiliate of the United Synagogue for Conservative Judaism and supporter of the Jewish Theological Seminary, Congregation Har Tzeon-Agudath Achim is dedicated to perpetuating and affirming Judaism by strengthening and nurturing the faith and religious development of its members, sustaining and reinforcing Jewish values and traditions, and strengthening our bonds to Israel.
From youth groups to senior programs, from religious school to adult education, from family services to daily minyanim, from social action to social welfare, from youth groups to the Sisterhood and the Men's Club, our goal remains the same -- to use the power and beauty of our heritage to help us improve ourselves and our world.
In pursuit of this mission, with guidance from Rabbi Reuben Landman, synagogue professional staff, and lay leaders, HTAA ascribes to the Rabbinic teaching from Pirkei Avot, "The world is sustained through Torah, worship, and acts of loving kindness." For Har Tzeon-Agudath Achim, this teaching provides a firm foundation for fulfilling its mission of serving members and the larger community through religious, educational, social, and communal activities.
