USY News
Beryl Feldman, USY Advisor - mailto:usy@htaa.org Party on the Potomac! And so they did! USYers from all along the Seaboard Region gathered together to party. Even the cool and damp air could not dampen the ruach of these kids. They danced, played cards and talked with the captain of the "Cherry Blossom" riverboat. Everyone had a wonderful time.
USYers also conducted services in our Main Sanctuary on Saturday, April 12th and then had their own Oneg and luncheon which included a brief study session on Pirke Avot (Ethics of the Fathers.) Everyone is excited about going to Spring Convention which will be held at Camp Louise from May 23 - 26, 2008. USYers are working hard on their banner to take to the convention. Any current USYer who is interested in going to convention, please contact Beryl Feldman (301) 649-3800 to get the necessary forms. The deadline for submitting forms is May 5th.
We have many more things planned for the rest of the year. Want to know more? Please call us!

What is USY?
USY, or United Synagogue Youth, is an organization by the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism for teens in high school to bond, learn about our background, religion, Israel, and anything about Judaism.
There are three levels:
1. Chapter: Basically, a synagogue. We are Har Tzeon-Agudath Achim.
2. Region: Several chapters in the same area. We are Seaboard Region, consisting of Maryland,
DC, Viginia, and parts of North Carolina.
